Who Moved My Cheese?
Next week we will return to, what has become somewhat of, an 08:23 classic – the book, “Who Moved My Cheese?” by Dr Spencer Johnson.
Who Moved My Cheese? is the story of four characters living in a “Maze” who face unexpected change when they discover their “Cheese” has disappeared. Sniff and Scurry, who are mice, and Hem and Haw, little people the size of mice, each adapt to change in their “Maze” differently. In fact, one doesn’t adapt at all…
Deceptively short and with an appearance which can be confused with a children’s book, this is a timeless allegory that reveals some profound to how individuals and organizations dealing with change.
A Time Magazine review of the book can be found here. According to the review, the book has has become “the best-selling business book ever, with more than 22 million copies sold worldwide in 37 languages” (Sachs, 2008). […and according to wikipedia it it now 26 million copies]
