Changing the Rules of the Game
On Tuesday we will finally have the first 08:23 this semester. First out is Thomas and Markus with a paper that Thomas presented in the beginning of the summer at the Sixth International Symposium on Process Organization Studies. The theme of the symposium was, “Organizational routines: How they are created, maintained and changed”.
In the paper, the authors explore how lower-level organizational routines emerge, are maintained and later changed through higher-level capabilities in an isolated, one-off setting. More specifically, the authors study the difference in how and why events that jeopardize the schedule routine of a mountaineering expedition are enacted in a detailed and processual unpacking of organizational routines in a temporary organization.
Tentative target for the paper is Org. studies or Human relations.
The paper will be distributed via email.
